The New York State Charter Schools Act (§2857(2)(b)) requires that all public charter schools submit an annual report to the Board of Regents via the State Education Department's Charter School Office, and to the school's authorizer by August 1st via this portal. Please refer to the 2012-13 Annual Report Guidelines for New York State Charter Schools posted in the Resources section of this portal and on the Department's Charter School Office website at: http://www.p12.nysed.gov/psc/.
SUNY-authorized charter schools should consult the SUNY's Charter Schools Institute for guidance at http://www.newyorkcharters.org/ before submitting information into this portal. Similarly, New York City Board of Education authorized charter schools should consult the NYCDOE's Office of Charter Schools Accountability and Support at: http://schools.nyc.gov/charters before submitting information via this portal.
The annual reports provide an authorizer and the public with a comprehensive view of each school's performance for the prior academic year, including an indication of progress toward the achievement of goals established in a school’s binding charter agreement with its authorizer. Annual reports will be posted on the Department's web page.
